Terry Campbell – Charlyn Kennel (USA)
Terry Campbell is from Foresthill California, USA from the area of the
Northern mountains which is called the Sierras. She and her husband
David started Charlyn Siberian Huskies in 1987. Their first Siberian was
from Alaska, the northern most state in the USA, where the famous sled
dog race the Iditarod is run.
Terry and David always wanted to learn about sled dog racing and the
showing of dogs but were commonly told from many old time breeders that
you can not do BOTH well. They advised that although the Siberian Husky
should be able to do both racing and showing it was not easily
obtainable. Being very stubborn people both Terry and David took steps
to prove them wrong. They were right about one thing, it was not easy.
The good news was that it was obtainable! Terry and David are very proud
to have bred many champions that are Multiple Group One and Specialty
winners and Sled-dog Tiltled dogs. Charlyn Siberian Huskies is the ONLY
kennel in the USA to have breed and own the breeds ONLY American Best In
Show, Best In Specialty, Champion, Sled-dog titled Siberian in history,
BIS/BISS Ch. Charlyn's Joyous Occasion, SD. "Cassie".
In 1993 we welcome Kristen Boyes to our partnership of owning, breeding,
racing, and showing the dogs of Charlyn. Kristen handled Cassie at the
age of 9 years to her BIS win. Today at Charlyn, Terry and Kristen Boyes
own and breed all the dogs and are very proud to have 2 dogs they bred
finish the Iditarod. BISS Ch. Charlyn's Crime Scene Investigator, SDO "Grissom"
and Ch. Charlyn's Black Tie Occasion, SDX. Both these dogs are grandsons
of Cassie.
Terry is very honored and happy to have been invited to come to Italy
and judge the wonderful Siberian Husky. She feels that through judging
is one way that she can help insure that Siberians that have the
structure and breed type to both showing and racing can be honored.
David passed away in 2008 and is greatly missed.

Driving
in motorway A1 (Milano/Napoli) exit “Valdichiana” (if you are driving
from Milano to Napoli) or “Orte” (if you are driving from Napoli to
Milano) keep direction “Perugia” taking road “SS75” follow direction
“Assisi-Foligno” and exit to “Santa Maria degli Angeli Nord”… then
follow for “Tordandrea” … After 20 mt to the begin of the village turn

In
enchanting scenary of Assisi, city recognized humanity’s estate from
Unesco, between vineyards and secular olive grove of an estate of 70

Assisi is a fascinating and enticing place where courtesy and

our wonderful resort.
The
structure is very articulated on an area of many hectares and is
composed of two poles, the main hotel with 42 rooms of various tipology,
and 800 metres away, the other pole costituited of 22 flats in interior
of 6 farmhouses very close among themselves. You can move across the
area of the structure by car or in alternative the hotel offer to his
guests 25 bicycles for free (there is only to pay a little security that
will be return at the moment of the return of the bicycle).
In the
middle of the farmhouses there is the restaurant, the swimming-pool,
the football and five-a-side pitch and the field where will be prepared
the ring. Near the field there is a wide parking.

The
Breakfast, of continental type, for the guests will be waited in the
hall of the hotel.
Every
owners of dogs have to pick up escrements of their own animals. The dogs
are admitted in the rooms only in flats’s area paying 15 € in addition
independently from the number of nights occupied and from number of dogs
guest. The dogs that live in the rooms have to stay in silence and in
the cage when owner is out of the room, it is not allowed to the dogs go
up on the beds, to dirty the curtains, the sofas, the sheets, the
bedspreads or damage in any other way the rooms.
EVERYONE DON’T RESPECT THIS REGULATION WILL BE PURSUED ACCORDING TO LAW
FROM THE ISTITUTIONS FOR THE PAYEMENT OF THE DAMAGES AND HIS NOMINATIVE
WILL BE COMUNICATED AT THE CLUB THAT WILL TAKE THE DUE MEASURES.

propose again the enthralling running of Canicross that will take
place inside the estate of the hotel, the course will be about one
km so to be accessible to all and in levelled ground.
Fimss will be our partner in this show with official timing.
We
remember that is admitted only one dog category with musher and to
participate is necessary an harness, a
line and a belt for canicross.
Before the running will be necessary to fill a liberating form that
will be supply from our collaborators if you have not delivered it
before.
